The all new Jaguar XJ is out and at your Jaguar dealers now.  I highly recommend taking one for a drive, you will be very impressed and happy you took the time.  I have been visiting various jaguar dealerships to talk with their guest about the XJ, racing and vintage Jaguars in general.   The following photo’s are from Jaguar of Monterey welcome XJ reception.  There is a lot of buzz regarding the US Open at Pebble Beach which starts this week.   Sam Linder had on display at fabulous 1954 XK120 filled with Tiffany boxes and a 1961 XK150 but the star of the show was the all new XJ’s.

The Ultimate Lamborghini Experience III took place at Fontana Speedway this past Thursday.  What a site it was to see ”50 plus” Lambo’s assembled in one place (see photo).  I was working with the media that was there to drive the all new LP570-4 Superleggera.  One thing about the media is that they get to drive all makes and models before they arrive into dealerships and customers take delivery.  I found with a few coaching tips to the media, they were able to get the ultimate experience of the LP570-4.  It is a fun and easy car to drive but don’t under estimate the lighter weight (154 lb), 398 lb-ft torque and the 570 hp with AWD. It is a fast car…  Fortunately I get to drive all makes and models as well.  I really did enjoy driving the new LP570-4 Superleggera and I feel it would only take a few minor improvements to make it the ultimate track car…

Big week, Big race weekend.  This past week was filled with Jaguar, Jaguar and more Jaguars’.  We started out at the Coto de Caza Country Club in Irvine, CA with the 2011 XJ on display.  What fun we had with the members enjoying their drive in the XJ before and after their golf game.   Saturday morning was way cool visiting Cars & Coffee http://irvine.carsandcoffee.info/ before flying to New York for the Jaguar R Academy at Monticello Motor Club.  See the Road and Track article February 2010 http://www.roadandtrack.com/special_feature/jaguar-r-performance-academy .  Coaching owners of the R model Jaguar is very unique, everyone that we meet is special and we take the time to explain and show them all the dynamics of the vehicle they purchased.  Trust me, it is a wow factor for them and our program more than exceeds their expectations.  As a special surprise Jaguar had the XJR-13 and the 1988 Le Mans winning XJR-9 on display.  What an awesome site of history; they will be on display at Pebble Beach this August before going back to the UK.  (See photos)  The racing this weekend is going to be action packed, starting Sunday with the Indy 500, the Coca Cola 600 and the Grand-am Rolex races at Lime Rock Park on Monday…  Have a great Memorial Day weekend, remember our fallen heroes of war and how blessed we all are today.

Week Two of the BMW 5 series Launch tour, Atlanta Georgia gave some potential buyer’s true excitement about the 2011 model’s due in dealerships this June.  First drive of 535i is proving to be a true winner for BMW.  The new 3 liter in-line six single turbo engines are delivering 300hp and 300 ft pounds of torque.   Starting with the stylish interior, the comfort driving positing, adaptive dynamic handling suspension and BMW power, it is a joy to drive.  Once again the Teen Driving School was a big success.  They get to drive BMW 335i’s for all of their training modules, learning skid control to accident avoidances to late breaking exercises.  Next stop is Dallas, TX May 14th, 15th and 16th.
